For Just $6

Hi gals! I found a steal at Target while doing a tad bit of shopping this weekend. How gorgeous is this E.L.F blush palette and for only $6? It comes with 4 colors that are perfect for spring. Each blush was pigmented and offered a good amount of color.

These photos were taken in natural sunlight to show you the true colors of each blush. There are two blush palettes available - one in light and one in dark. I picked up the light palette and I'm so glad I did.

Talk to the Mask!

Hi Dolls!
It's review time here at Everyday Girls! My family always tells me my hands are SO dry. I admit I have dry hands & I admit I wash them a lot! But it stems from my high school job of working in a bakery. I took a food handlers class and learned about how many things can be transferred from your hands to other things. Your hands interact with so many things it is important to keep them clean not only with just food. Even in beauty when you are dealing with your eyes and face its important to have clean hands. Anyway, I was at Target and came across this hand mask.
I decided last night I was going to give it a go. The package comes with two folded up gloves with moisturizing product in each. You keep the gloves on for 20 minutes. My hands got really hot in the gloves but when they came out they actually were softer. For me I probably would have to do this treatment a few more times to get full results but I could definitely tell a difference.

This product retails under $5 so it is super affordable. Overall I think you could also just use a home remedy. Buy yourself a tub of vaseline and some gloves and leave it on while you watch a movie at home.  Let me know if you have tried this mask!

Along with all the million products you can use to keep your hair soft there is one thing that gets over looked a lot .... THE POWER OF A TRIM. How do you know when you need a trim you may ask? I am going to share with you 3 tips to let you know ... it is time!!

1. The first hint is time. The average time you should wait between cuts is 6-8 weeks. I know this seems excessive but think of the damage you put your hair through on a daily. It is important to nip those split ends in the bud before it becomes a bigger problem. If you absolutely have to wait longer I would try not to go longer than 3 months.

2. You have nailed a certain style over the last two years and your hair isn't cooperating. After so long your hair can become a limp noodle. It has been blow dried, flat ironed, curled over and over and it just does not want to work anymore. It can also be from the longer hairs weighing your style down. Either way, it could be a sign you need a cut.

3. When your hair is overwhelming full of split ends. Split ends are detrimental to healthy hair. Split ends mean exactly that. Your hair has "cracked" open and it could split all the way up the hair shaft if it wanted. But the most damaging thing about split ends are the fact that the ends of your hair will break off. Your hair shaft is not as strong when its split into two therefore the probability of your ends breaking off is high. I hear a lot of clients complaining that their hair is "not growing" and it usually is because of this fact.

I hope you enjoyed these tips! Now go get a trim!

Spring Beauty Lusts

Spring Beauty Lusts

Every time around this year I get an itch to go spring shopping. I want new clothes, new shoes and  most importantly - new makeup. I long for soft colors on the eyes and lips that make me look and feel feminine. This year there are some new products I have been DYING to try and some old products that need to be repurchased.
The new Nars Dual Intensity Blushes look absolutely amazing. I honestly want to buy them all! They come in lots of shades and colors too.
FRESH Sugar Lemon Body lotion smells oh so wonderful and is a very fresh and clean scent.  It's a #1 seller.
NYX, I cannot say enough about how much I LOVE their lip products. I saw these lip pencils in Ulta the other day and picked up a few. For the price? Might as well buy them all.
My skin has not been my friend as of late. I heard this product is a great anti-inflammatory and works wonders on pesky zits.
bareMinerals is know for their natural beauty foundation, and this new Complexion Rescue looks just as nice as their other products.
Finally, the Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette. This would be a total splurge as I do not need more eyeshadows. But these palettes and colors look as beautiful in real life as the do on this screen.

Better than Sex, by Too Faced

The invention of mascara is probably one of the best things to ever happen. Of course behind the obvious, like flushing toilets and electricity. But if I was stranded on a desert island, I wouldn't mind a tube of mascara to keep me company.

Mascara is the one thing that makes me look awake, opens up my eyes, and makes me all around feel more like a woman.  Better than Sex Mascara by Too Faced is pretty high up on my all time favorite mascaras.  It adds volume and length and the brush isn't rubber which is something I really hate. With one coat of mascara, you will have nice defined lashes. With two coats, lashes that are just thick and luscious. Below you will see pics of my eyeball with no mascara and with varying coats of Better than Sex.   At $23 I think this mascara does a great job and holds up pretty well throughout the day.

Anyone have any mascaras they would like me to try? Or any mascaras that are your favorites? Let us know in the comments below!

Love is in the air ... Babyliss LOVE!

I'm sure you all know about my profound love for Babyliss by now. I love their tools. I love their flat irons, curling irons, and especially blow dryers! My hair is crazy curly and somehow their tools just work well with my hair. I had been sharing a GHD flat iron with Ashley which I loved as well. But when I got married I needed one of my own. I have owned the lower cost Babyliss irons which don't work as well. If you want a good flat iron with Babyliss you have to pay the big bucks! They usually run around $129.99 which is decent price for a good product! But when you are on a wedding budget you don't have a lot to spare. I came across a black 1 and a 1/2 inch ceramic flat iron from Babyliss at the beauty supply. I'm in LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!! It works so well with my hair, it was half the cost, and ceramic blades make my hair feel so soft. Which is the point of getting a ceramic flat iron. So if you're in the market and on a lower budget, I definitely recommend this flat iron!

I am a little embarrassed to post this crazy hair photo but I want you to see what I am working with and why I think this iron works so good:

I was on my way out so excuse my parking lot picture for the after but here it is:

Thanks for stopping by loves!
